Latest Developments (February – March 2026)

  • Financial Autonomy: In a major policy shift on February 24, 2026, the Kerala Government authorized KINFRA to independently raise loans of up to ₹1,000 crore for land acquisition and infrastructure development.
  • New Headquarters: The foundation stone for KINFRA's new headquarters building in Thiruvananthapuram was laid on February 25, 2026.
  • Electronics Sector Boost: Two mega projects were inaugurated in early February 2026: the V-Guard Innovation Campus (Kakkanad) and the Kaynes Technology manufacturing unit (Perumbavoor), with a combined investment of over ₹650 crore.
  • Graphene Park: KINFRA has allocated land and a 55,000 sq. ft. facility at the KINFRA Defense Park, Ottappalam, for a new Graphene Park Pilot Production Facility.

KINFRA operates over 30 industrial parks specialized by sector: 

  • Food Processing: Mega Food Park (Palakkad), Seafood Park (Aroor), and parks in Kakkanchery and Mazhuvannur.
  • High-Tech & IT: Techno-Industrial Park (Kakkanchery), Hi-Tech Park (Kalamassery), and the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (Kakkanad).
  • Defense & Aerospace: India's first dedicated Defense Park in Ottappalam, Palakkad.
  • Petrochemicals: A 481-acre Petrochemical Park in Ambalamughal, Kochi.

Entertainment: India's first infotainment park, the KINFRA Film and Video Park in Thiruvananthapuram.
