ICMAI - Trivandrum Chapter

In 1969, ten years after the passage of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants Act, a group of dedicated members and students set out to establish a chapter of the institute in Trivandrum. On July 12th, 1969, they convened at Hotel Xavier Annexe to initiate the process. A list of qualified members and students was sent to the headquarters on November 7th, 1969. However, initially, one member was short of the required number to form a chapter officially.

The group persevered, and on May 4th, 1971, the name of the fifth member was submitted. Finally, on July 20th, 1971, the Trivandrum chapter received official recognition from the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.
